THE LATEST TRIPPO NEWS...My 19th album Dwindle is now finished and released and I can finally stop complaining that I can't finish and release it. It is four long suites of ambient downtempo music about predation, nostalgia, wrath, and hubris...the decline and fall of the human species. It is my first album without a single guitar part on it, and probably my last. If four quarter-hour suites seem daunting to you, you can avail yourself of the teaser single THE 1950'S SAID b/w SHARKS, two fantastic excerpts of the larger work in bite size chunks for your digesting convenience.
OLD NEWS IS STILL NEWS...My latest "live" performance has been posted on TRIPPOVISION as part of THE TRIPPOVISION SUMMER SPECTACULAR 2025, featuring a smorgasbord of video goodies from the likes of Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Grocery Bag, and more. Like and subscribe if you like and subscribe.
Hello there it's Trippo Hello there it's Trippo Hello there it's Trippo Fucking Marx yes it's Trippo...I have been composing music & producing recordings in Austin since 1989. I play guitar mostly, but I've been known to play (or at the very least make noises with) whatever I can get my hands on including bass, keyboards, drums, drum programming, midi programming, computer programming, toys, tape recorders, household objects, etc. Sometimes I say strange things and people wonder.
All of my trips are available for download/streaming through your favorite digital provider.
Caprice
Single #3: This song attempts to demonstrate (with tongue firmly pressed in cheek to engender a risible reaction during playback) the very fine line between a poetically vociferous expression of one's true love for another and the foolish psychobabble of a shallow, fleeting infatuation for a stranger. Single purchase through Bandcamp comes with THREE BONUS TRACKS, an instrumental version, a brand new groovebox instrumental just out of the groovebox, and a fourteen minute remix/reimagining of the Little Man suite from Trip #3 Water Damage
Toxic Gnomes Soundtrack
While I'm slaving away on the upcoming Dwindle, you can feast your ears on the baroque-ish sounds of the soundtrack I composed for the Toxic Gnomes video.
